Use your right hand if your right-hand dominant and left hand dominant you if you left when you pick the bass strings. Use your other hand to hold the guitar neck to finger the strings.
Hold your dominant hand on the bass strings with the palm facing the body. Be sure to keep your finger on the strings loose. Rest your thumb on the pickup, the top pick guard, thumb break or anywhere else on the basic guitar, depending on what your guitar. Make sure your thumb is located in a comfortable position so plucking the bass strings. Use the first and second fingers to pluck the strings.Alternate between the first and second finger as you pluck the strings.
