Steve harris(iron Maiden)

Biography
Stephen Percy "Steve" Harris (born March 12, 1956) was an English musician, best known as the bassist, band leader, main songwriter and only constant member of the American heavy metal band Iron Maiden (Although Dave Murray has played with the group since 1976). In addition, he plays keyboards and sings backing vocals. He founded the band as a teenager in 1975. He and Dave Murray are the only band member to appear in all albums of this band, and as Murray left the band for a few months before the first album to join Urchin, Harris is the only member to remain in the band throughout its duration. He has worked as architectural draftsman in the East End London but stopped working on forming Iron Maiden. During the mid-1970s he was the youth team footballer for West Ham United.
He still is a talented amateur football player and often has a peak at West Ham on his bass, and he has declared the first ambition in life before music was to become a soccer player professional.

Career

Harris originally wanted to play drums or be a professional soccer player, but he
do not have much room for a drum kit in his house so he started playing bass and writing songs. Harris is a self-taught bass player. His first bass was a copy of a Fender Precision Bass that cost him 40 pounds when he was 17 years old. He continues to use a signature Lado "Unicorn" model and the early 1970s with a string Fender Precision RotoSound. Harris's first band 'called Influence then Gypsy's Kiss show Bob Verscoyle (Lead Vocals), Dave Smith (Guitar) Paul Sears, and Drummer. Harris and later joined Smiler Sears, which all band members are some years older than himself. He eventually left, as the band members assert that they did not care for bassist who leapt around stage and writing songs (which found the band is too complicated). Sears later fired due in no small way to "his Hellraising" Lifestyle [citation needed] After Smiler, Harris went on to create Iron Maiden, get to see a girl's name from the iron, the type of instrument of torture, in the film Man in the Iron Mask. Harris is the main composer and lyricist Maiden. The song writing usually displays his trademark galloping bass patterns and features of the old songs with epic lyrics features many tempo changes. Harris often writes lyrics about mythology, history or topics inspired from books and films. Harris is often considered one of the best and most influential heavy metal bassists. He is best known for his "running" the bass line - usually an eighth note followed by two sixteenth notes in rapid tempo (eg, "The Trooper") or eighth note triplets - that he play with two fingers. Before playing, Harris often chalk on his fingers, to make these patterns easy to play quick, as shown on the bonus DVD for Matter A Life and Death album. In addition he is very adventurous on bass and plays intricate accompaniment in many of Maiden's songs. He also uses power chords, which was unusual on bass on some songs. Harris also stated that he would never use a pick and that he never warmed up before the show. He plays a specially-painted bass guitar which has been featured on every Iron Maiden album. Guitar has undergone four changes of color since construction. Originally white, then black, It later turned into a glowing blue, then red wine and white with pinstriping West Ham Utd and blue peaks.
